CHARLESTON, SC - Conservative Republican candidate for Congress Kathy Landing will launch the first television ad by any candidate this cycle in South Carolina’s First Congressional District during Saturday’s Clemson-South Carolina football game.

Landing’s ad, entitled “Real Quid Pro Quo,” details incumbent Democrat Joe Cunningham's support for the impeachment inquiry after Cunningham received maximum campaign donations from House Intel Committee Chair Adam Schiff of California. The ad also highlights Landing’s experience as a conservative, job-creating financial planner and her platform of lowering healthcare costs, fixing infrastructure, balancing budgets, and keeping our economy strong.

In launching the ad, Landing made it clear that the Lowcountry needs better representation.

“Joe Cunningham misled the Lowcountry last cycle into thinking he would be a different kind of Democrat, but his record tells the truth – voting with the radicals in his party like Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over 85% of the time,” said Landing. “This ad is just one way that I will lead the effort to ensure Joe is held accountable for putting his party over the Lowcountry and putting partisan politics above progress for the district he is supposed to represent.”

While the ad details Cunningham’s support for the impeachment inquiry, it also draws a stark contrast between Landing and Cunningham on the issues.

“I greatly respect the successes President Donald Trump has achieved, particularly those on the economy,” said Landing. “The Lowcountry deserves a Member of Congress who understands what it takes to support the President’s strong economic policies and who is also committed to lowering healthcare costs, fixing infrastructure, and balancing budgets. I will be that Member of Congress focused on tackling the issues that matter most to us.”

The full content of the ad is as follows:

"Conspiracies, gridlock, and impeachment are Pelosi's priorities. Mine are lowering healthcare costs, fixing infrastructure, balancing budgets, and keeping our economy strong. Our Congressman filled his campaign coffers with money from Adam Schiff then voted for the impeachment inquiry. Is that the real quid pro quo? I'm Kathy Landing, and I approved this message. I'm a conservative, job-creating financial planner, who is running for Congress to solve the problems that matter most to you. Join our team at KathyLanding.com, and let's show Schiff that the Lowcountry is not for sale."
