"I am grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate that I am the candidate not only most qualified to defeat Joe Cunningham, but also - and most importantly - to represent the Lowcountry in Congress. 

While one of my opponents used tonight’s debate to dodge questions that must be answered before Republican primary voters cast their ballots, I did not shy away from my background or ideas to improve the quality of life for residents in SC-01. 

I am hopeful my neighbors along our coast will choose honesty and character rather than bought-and-paid for politicians."
